Commission a Painting

It's lovely having an original oil painting that means something special to you. It could be a favourite photograph, a holiday spot, your house, a pet - anything. Or talk to me about creating something for you to match a particular decor or occasion, or to fit unusual spaces on walls. Use the form at the bottom of this page for any enquiries or phone 0438 335 043.

'The Bertram' was commissioned from a photo of the customer and their boat :

This anniversay portrait was commissioned from a black and white photo, along with significant requests including an arch with 6 red roses for the children and 16
pink for the grandchildren, cobble stones and more. Intricate details were
provided for the colour of clothing, eyes, skin etc.

This painting was commissioned to fit a particular wall area
- I was asked to paint any subject I felt would suit :

Framing:

You may choose to have your painting frameless - your painting would be
on a wide edge canvas, painted around the edges, wired and ready to hang.
If you intend to have your painting framed, please let me know - I can
arrange excellent framing for you according to your style, or
you may take the finished painting to your own framer.
All paintings will be on stretch canvas.

A few framing tips:
If selecting your own framing, I believe wider is generally better.
A small narrow frame can easily spoil a painting.
Consider using an insert as well to create more depth with your wide frame.
Glass is not required for oil paintings.
